Yan Xie

Dr.Yan Xie received her B.Eng. degree in 2004 and Ph.D degree in 2009 from South China University of Technology, Guangzhou, China. And then she started a research career in Guangdong University of Technology. Her research has involved study on structural reinforcement, structural safety monitoring, high-performance building materials, comprehensive utilization of waste, chloride corrosion and durability.

She is now Deputy Director of Guangdong Structural Safety Control Engineering Technology Research Center, Committee Member of Building Materials Professional Committee of Guangdong Civil Engineering and Architecture Society, Committee Member of Cement and Concrete Professional Committee of Guangdong Portland Society, Member of International Institute for FRP in Construction, International Journal Reviewer.

Her current investigations include 8 national, provincial and ministerial scientific research projects and 14 engineering projects as PI or Co-PI. She has published 28 journal papers, obtained 2 invention patents, 10 utility model patents and 1 software copyright in recent years. She has revived the academic awards including the Youth Science and Technology Award of Guangdong Silicate Society and the first prize of Science and Technology of the Society of Civil Engineering and Architecture.
